The Parish Council is a third tier authority within the area of Stroud District Council and Gloucestershire County Council. Parish Councillors strive to look after the best interests of the parish, with their wide range of interests involving:
Burial ground and churchyard, benches and picnic tables, bus shelters, crime prevention, community orchard, community nutgrove, entertainment, lighting, litter, open spaces, parking places, planning, playing field, play area, rights of way, road signs, roadside verges, The Pavilion with community shop, traffic calming, village hall, etc.
Meetings are held monthly at 7:30pm in the Horsley Village Hall on the fourth Tuesday of the month, except for August and December when the council does not meet. There is a period set aside at the start of the meetings for public discussion.
